KIUT (OUTWAY) Regional Development Association was organized in 2000 by 20 enterprises (Co., Ltd., etc.), 20 private individuals - experts -, and 3 associations of local governments for regional development (these include 31 local government from Small Region of Kisvarda).

The objective of the association:

Promoting of the economic, transporting, tourist traffic, cultural development of the upper region of Szabolcs county and Retkoz. Furthermore, establishing of the regional logistics, forcing of the interntional and the cross-border cooperation relationships, reveal of the investment facilities, and the connecting marketing.

The mission of the association:

  1. The association works according to its' fundamental rules and to the laws.
  2. Collaborate in regional promoting programmes.
  3. Acquaint with the advantages of joining to the European Union. KIUT organises Hungarian and foreign programmes, study tours, conferences.
  4. Cooperates with Zahony and its' Region Promotional Ltd.
  5. Cooperates in designing and constructing of the 5th Corridor.
  6. Collaborates in the developing of the regional logistics in order to help getting acquainted its' facilities in Hungary and in other countries.
  7. Collects informational brassieres; organises previews, exhibitions, fairs, conferences, congresses.
  8. Spreading special knowledge what necessary for economical activities.
  9. KIUT cooperates with other international organisations and foreign associations in order to facilitate the realisation of the objectives if its' programme.
  10. Produces the personal-, material-, and financial resources what necessary to realise its' objectives by using the capacity of the involved state-, self-governmental-, economical-, and social organisations.
  11. Coordinates the cooperation of the involved organisations and persons.
  12. Promotes the Euro-Atlantic integration.

Our last conference (March 2-3rd 2006): "Transport-logistics development in area of Zahony - Csop", Nyiregyhaza

Our association has organized conferences in every year since 2000. These conferences are organized for increase of transport on the 5th Corridor, increase of transport through Zahony and Chop.

In 2005, there was the conference called "Reviving of Silk Road". It was an 3-days, international conference. It was 3 venues: Mukachevo, Zahony and Nyiregyhaza. Participants were from Japan, China, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy and European Commission. They were experts of transport ministries, of railways, and some participants were from companies. The Transport Minister of Ukraine and Transport Minister of Russia took part in the conference.

Our references:

  • 2000. - Conference called "Connecting between Europa and Asia on the 5th Corridor" It was in Zahony and Nyiregyhaza, and participants were from 6 counries (230 persons)
  • 2001. - Conference called "Zahony and its' Region is enterprise zone on the 5th Corridor" It was in Nyiregyhaza, Zahony and Uzhgorod, participants were from 6 counrties (220 persons)
  • 2002. - Study: "Transport and logistic in Zahony and its' Region Enterprise Zone"
  • May 15-17th 2002 - taking part on "Conference of Regional Development" in Brussels, where the intermodal logistical region of Zahony was presented by KIUT Association.
  • October 2002 - Organizing a Meeting for Enterprises in Mukachevo with 85 participants.
  • April 23-25th 2003 - Organizing a 3-days international conference called "Innovation in Trade between East and West and in Transport-logistics" It was in Nyiregyhaza, Zahony and Uzhgorod, with participants from 8 countries.
  • December 11th 2003 - Ukrainian - Hungarian Enterprise-meeting in Nyiregyhaza
  • Our Association achieved, the Hungarian Government put in order in council that, the M3 motorway will be built in "Y" form, towards Zahony and Barabas.
  • Our Association achieved, InterCity run between Budapest - Chop.
