The integration of the Central and East European countries (CEE) into the European Union creates a radically and qualitatively new geopolitical situation on the European continent that, in its turn, requires some thoroughgoing and structural changes from the EU part as to development of international relations in their new form in the countries of the European Union and non-member states. The elaboration of a fundamentally new EU cross-border co-operation development strategy as well as new cross-border co-operation philosophy between the states in the Carpathian region (CR) based on the European principles is of vital importance especially in this context.   More info...
